May 17: 1B battling left leg tightness
Naylor was pinch-hit for in the sixth inning of Tuesday's series opener against the White Sox, leaving the game with left leg tightness. He came in feeling better on Wednesday, but the team planned to give him the day off to recover. Assuming he feels OK on Thursday, he'll go do agility tests to see if he could be available off the bench for the series finale in Chicago.

May 16: INF Brayan Rocchio promoted from Triple-A Columbus; 3B José Ramírez placed on the bereavement list
Ramírez flew back to the Dominican Republic to be with his family after his grandmother passed away. Guardians manager Terry Francona said Ramírez will miss the entire series in Chicago and will meet the team in New York on Friday. Rocchio will take his spot on the roster in the meantime, and Francona is hopeful that the team's No. 6 prospect (per MLB Pipeline) will make his debut in one of the three contests at Guaranteed Rate Field.
